Our mission is: To Love Him More So More Love Him

And our vision is to become a community of life transformation taking the hope of the gospel here, near and far.

If you want to learn a little bit more about who we are, you can read about our history and our core beliefs. If you're ready to dive right in, we recommend attending a weekend service or joining a Group.

Weekend Services

Most people start by attending one of our weekend services. No need to dress up- our services are designed to be casual, but meaningful. Our worship experience is contemporary, designed to focus our hearts toward God, and uses an eclectic mix of music and media.

Our three services are designed to meet your needs and welcome an eclectic mix of worshipers.

Our contemporary Saturday Service at 6p is a casual service designed to intimately encounter and passionately celebrate God. We strive to meet Him through energetic music, live relevant preaching and real community.

In our classic service at 8:30a, worshipers of all ages enjoy the theological depth of the time-honored hymns as well as songs of worship accompanied by simple, yet diverse, instrumentation. In this service we also worship through the use of corporate readings, prayer and reflective observance of communion.

Our contemporary Sunday Service at 10:15a is similar in style to our Saturday Service. Whichever service you choose to attend, it will be a time of worship, reflection, prayer, and pursuing God.

Find a Group

At The Compass Church we are committed to helping adults grow spiritually and relationally. There are two ways to do this at our Wheaton Campus, join a group or serve. We believe that smaller communities are the perfect environment for facilitating spiritual growth, connection, engagement, and learning. Join a group today and start your journey with like-minded individuals.

Find a Group

Our Sunday morning groups are one component of our strategy to make adult disciples. They are great places for people to be equipped to be like Jesus as they do life together. In a Sunday group, you can expect there to be coffee, prayer, teaching and discussion about what it means to be like Christ. Groups run during one of our two Sunday morning services. People of all ages are welcome to attend wherever they connect with others. To locate a description of each Sunday group, click HERE or contact adultswheaton@thecompass.net for more information.

Groups are communities of believers who meet regularly to study, fellowship and care for each other in various settings. Groups are foundational to the community experience at The Compass Church. We encourage every adult to be a part of a group outside of our weekend services. Groups are where we simply live and share life together while we apply God's word and give accountability to making it happen in our lives. We have groups for Men, Women, Families, and Young Adults. Whatever stage of life you are in, there's a group for you. Click HERE to find a group and select Wheaton Campus in the search.

We welcome you to visit our children's ministry and would be thrilled to have you part of our faith community. As a parent, you know first-hand how tough it is to raise kids - especially kids who love and follow Jesus. The good news is you are not alone. We believe that God has called the Church to come alongside parents by equipping and supporting them to raise spiritual champions. For that reason, we are deeply committed to our mission to join parents on the journey of raising kids
To Love Him more
so More Love Him.

For K-6th grade girls. The goal of Pioneer Girls is to help girls follow Christ in every aspect of life. During club time we emphasize relationship building while completing Bible study, scripture memory and life skills activities ranging from cooking to woodworking, art to sewing and much more. We know that parenting today is more challenging than ever. We also know that as parents and guardians, you are the primary influence in your child's life. Who you are and what you do really matters. Through our resources and classes, we want to equip and support you so that you can parent your child intentionally. You are not alone. We want to join you in your journey. We echo the words of The Home Depot, "You can do it. We can help."

Our Mission

To join parents on the journey of raising kids…
To Love Him More
So More Love Him.

Our Vision

To become a transformational children's ministry that God uses to raise up a generation of spiritual champions.

Our Values

As your partner we are committed to providing environments and people that live out the following values…

  1. We are Safe & Secure (We protect children from harm)
  2. We are Biblically Grounded (We love God and his word)
  3. We are Child Friendly (We love kids and having fun)
  4. We are Family Focused (We inspire, equip and support parents)
  5. We are Relationally Connected (We love & support one another)
  6. We are Livin' It! (We live what we teach as role models for kids)

Our Priorities

In order to fulfil our mission and vision, we must focus on what is most important. We are committed to focus on the following areas that are critical to any children's ministry…
Kid's Prayer (We will pray for our kids)
Kid's Place (We will provide a safe & fun place for kids to grow)
Kid's Program (We will engage kids with excellent teaching)
Kid's People (We will build up teams that minister to kids)
Kid's Parents (We will inspire, equip, and kids parents as they lead)

Child Dedication

Our Child Dedication Celebration is not just an event; it is the beginning of a partnership. It is our hope that we can continue to build the partnership between the church and your family so you have the support of a faith community as you build into the spiritual life of your child. This Child Dedication Class is offered quarterly, and is required before you can dedicate your child. Once the class has been completed, a dedication date will be set for your family, usually within the same month as the class. Please contact Sue Myroup with questions at smyroup@thecompass.net.

Family Baptism

We would love to meet with you to determine if your child is ready to be baptized. Please understand that child baptism is very different from infant baptism. The Compass Church does not practice the tradition of Infant Baptism simply because it is not commanded or demonstrated in Scripture. Instead, we dedicate our babies. See Child Dedication for more information.

As your child grows in their knowledge of God and his plan for their life, their faith in Christ will become personal - apart from yours. For many, this happens during their pre-teen and teenage years. Baptism is the next step for those who have put their trust in Jesus for the forgiveness of their sins and the leader of their lives. If your child is asking you about this important step in their spiritual journey, please contact Sue Myroup at smyroup@thecompass.net.

At The Compass Church, we LOVE kids! We've designed a fun, engaging, and faith-forming environment just for them! Children, infants through 5th grade, will experience God's truth and love at our three identical services every weekend. We want kids to be so excited about the lessons and friendships here that they actually drag you to church!

All of our classrooms teach the Bible in chronological order each year so children can clearly see God's big plan of redemption through every story. Everything we do is intended to help your child's faith grow.

When you arrive, please come downstairs to the Welcome Center. You'll be greeted by one of our Family Hosts who will walk you through the quick and easy registration process. They will be happy to answer any questions you have and escort you and your children to their classrooms.

If you want to stay together as a family while you check out our church, bring your child in to worship with you! We provide children's bulletins for elementary aged children as you enter the worship center. If your younger child is wiggly, you may choose to sit in the Atrium where you can comfortably participate in the worship service. If your infant/toddler is fussy please visit The Comfort Corner located in CompassKids. This calming room is designed for mothers to nurse their little ones in privacy while watching the service streamed on a large screen.

If you have any questions or concerns about your first visit, please don't hesitate to contact Sue Myroup at smyroup@thecompass.net

CompassKids loves our volunteers! We believe that God will use you to plant seeds of faith in the hearts of our children, but we also believe that God will use your faithful service to grow your own faith! We have opportunities for adults and youth. Contact Sue Myroup to learn more.

We believe that kids represent the greatest opportunity to make a long-term impact on our world for Christ. Our ministry creates a high-energy, fun, supportive environment where kids are reached with the gospel and learn to develop into long-term disciples. Awana is fun with a purpose - to reach boys and girls with the gospel of Christ and train them to serve Him. It’s a wonderful way for a child to grow deeper in their faith and knowledge of God. Our Awana ministry offers different clubs depending upon the age of the children.

Puggles – designed for birth through 2 years old. The focus is on learning respect for God and His creation.

Cubbies – designed for preschoolers (3 and 4 years old) before attending Kindergarten. Classes focus on learning respect for the awesomeness and authority of God.

Sparks – Kindergarten through 2cnd grade students. Children learn a biblical foundation of wisdom for knowing God.

T&T (Truth & Training) – engages 3rd - 5th grade students. The youth learn about living in God’s grace in relationship with others.

To meet everyone’s place in life we offer two tracks- the essentials or Track 1 is if you're getting started or desire flexibility. There's less pressure to memorize sections and your kids still have tons of fun playing games and learning from the Bible. Children can move to Track 2, where you can memorize more scripture, dig in to deeper Bible learning on your own at home and win awards.

Everyone starts with club bag and a book, uniforms are optional, but some kids like to wear them, and you can purchase them and also register HERE.
